2008 A Success for Cinderella's Closet
It was our honor and pleasure to help almost 400 girls find the Dress of Thier Dreams in 2008. We thank all those who gave their time, energy and resources to make Cinderella's Closet a reality. Our partnership with high schools in 16 counties is vital to the success of our organization, we are grateful to all of the youth services and guidance counselors that nominated princesses in 2008. We also must thank the over 250 volunteers that gave countless hours and all those that donated items this year in order to Turn Dresses into Dreams. We hope that we can count on everyone again in 2009.Donations for 2008 Have Ended
While we would love to take donations year round, currently Cinderella's Closet is only able to accept donations of dresses and accessories from January until March each year. If you have donations, please hold them until next year. Thank you for your understanding of our limitations and for supporting our organization.
Turning Dresses Into Dreams
Every little girl dreams of being a princess – at Cinderella’s Closet we make that dream come true. Through donations of new and gently used formal dresses and accessories, we are able to turn dresses into dreams for financially disadvantaged girls all over Northern Kentucky and Southeast Indiana.
Each “Cinderella” is referred to our organization by her school guidance counselor, church pastor or social worker. Guided by her own personal “fairy Godmother”, each Cinderella selects her dream dress and accessories from among the selection in our “Cinderella’s Closet.” Both are free – and are hers to keep.
There are so many people who have beautiful gowns in their closets that have had only one night to shine. We’ll never really wear those bridesmaids and party dresses again – why not share them with girls who might not otherwise go to prom without them?
